Bogibeel Bridge is a Road and Rail Bridge being constructed by Hindustan Construction Company in the Dibrugarh district of Assam. When completed, the 4940.5 m long double deck bridge will become the longest bridge of its kind in India. 

Bogibeel Bridge is the first bridge of Indian Railways to be totally steel welded. The total length of welding to be carried out is approximately 12,800 Kms which is equivalent to circling 1.5 times around the Moon. 

It has 42 pillars with 39 spans of 125 meters and 2 spans of 32.75 meters. Each span weighting 1700 MT is equivalent to 26 Airbus A380 (maximum take-off weight over 650 tonnes). Total 70,000 Mt of steel used for completing the superstructure of the project, is equivalent to approximately 10 Numbers of Eiffel Towers.
